Karelia Harding, Parent Engagement and Equity Manager with the Oregon Child Development Coalition brings her experience engaging parents and community in leadership roles at the program, state and national level. Karelia has a Master in Special Education. She responsible to oversee parent engagement/ involvement in the decision making role in her organization that serves Migrant/ Seasonal, Early Head Start and Oregon Pre-Kindergarten Head Start Programs. She is currently a board member to the National Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Association, the National Head Start Association, Equity Advisory Committee for Education, National Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Collaboration Advisory Council and Oregon Migrant Education State Parent Advisory Committee (State SPAC). Karelia is a certified Master Trainer for the Oregon Registry Trainer program from Oregon Center of Career Development, she has extensive experience in providing trainings around Program Governance, Policy Council, Parent Leadership, Parent Engagement, Board training, Parent Family and Community Engagement, parenting curriculums, Communication, Budgets, Advocacy, Migrant/ Seasonal HS programs, Equity/ Personal Bias, Trauma Inform Care and many more at Local, state and National Conference for NHSA, NMSHSA, OHSA, Migrant Education and more.
